According to reported data, Americans are returning to work at the fastest pace since the pandemic’s start as the COVID threat continues to recede and employers increase pressure on employees to come in.
Office utilization between September 8 and 14 in 10 major metro areas was, on average, 47.5 percent below early 2020 norms, according to Kastle Systems, a business that tracks security pass swipes into buildings.

The best results are being seen during the weekdays, with Tuesday and Wednesday of last week seeing rates of about 55% of pre-pandemic workforce levels, which, according to Kastle, was a pandemic high for those days.
