Peeps-flavored Pepsi is back, and enjoying a wider release than its limited debut in 2021, when only 3,000 people got to try it.
In a taste test and review, Twitter user @KasabeKompiles admits he is “honestly not looking very forward to this, but I have to know how it tastes.”
He tries the “Peeps flavored Pepsi, or as I call it, Peepsi,” and immediately makes a disgusted face and shakes his head. “You barely get the soda into your mouth and youre tasting marshmallow already, and its overwhelming,” he says. “It is not subtle … it is a very strong Peeps flavor.”
The iconic Easter candy and the cola brand are rolling out the marshmallow-flavored soda with an augmented reality virtual egg hunt powered by Snapchat. Fans will have a chance to win prizes including Pepsi x Peeps merchandise and a spring trip for two.
“After the astonishingly positive response from our fans to the first PEPSI x PEEPS collaboration, we are thrilled to bring back the offering just in time for spring,” Peeps Brand Manager Caitlin Servian said in a statement.
“Since only a few fans were able to get their hands on the coveted cans last time, we’re thrilled to give everyone across the country the chance to indulge in PEPSI x PEEPS this time around,” said Katelyn Meola, Director – brand Pepsi.
For the first time, the limited-release beverage will be available in retail stores across the country. The drink will be available in 7.5 oz Pepsi mini-can multipacks and 20 oz. bottles.
