Chick-fil-A’s New Cauliflower Sandwich. The Company to Begin Testing in Selected Markets.

Chick-fil-A announced Thursday it will begin testing a cauliflower sandwich in three markets beginning Monday, Feb. 13.
The Chick-fil-A Cauliflower Sandwich is the fast-food chains first “plant-forward entrée,” made with a cauliflower filet, breaded and pressure cooked just like their original chicken sandwich.
“Cauliflower is the hero of our new sandwich, and it was inspired by our original Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich,” Leslie Neslage, director of menu and packaging at Chick-fil-A, said in a press release. “Guests told us they wanted to add more vegetables into their diets, and they wanted a plant-forward entrée that tasted uniquely Chick-fil-A.”
The first cauliflower sandwich prototype was created in 2018, but Chick-fil-A chefs spent more than four years searching for the perfect plant-based patty, according to Stuart Tracy, culinary developer of the Chick-fil-A Cauliflower Sandwich.
“Time and time again, we kept returning to cauliflower as the base of our sandwich,” Tracy said. “After a significant amount of development, we knew we had a one-of-a-kind entrée; one that puts a delicious spin on what were known for – great tasting food with ingredients you can trust.”
On Monday, the new sandwich will be available to customers in Denver, Colo.; Charleston, S.C.; and the Greensboro-Triad metro region in North Carolina.
